Biography
I am a medical oncologist trained in the US at New York University Medical Center and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. My main interest is the exploration of predictive bio-markers in the clinical treatment of cancer. With the explosion of molecular targeted therapies with specific target of action, it is imperative that we as oncologists have access to technology which can predict which patients will benefit most from these treatment and not expose patients to empirical treatment. Since returning to Hong Kong 10 years ago, I focus on breast cancer, adenocarcinoma of lung, neuroendocrine tumuors and tumours with targetable genetic aberrations like melanoma, some GI cancers, GISTs and a subset of sarcomas. Currently I am an associate consultant in the Department of Medicine, Queen Mary Hospital and honorary assistant professor in Department of Medicine, University of Hong Kong.
